Gulf reinsurance market - a claims perspective

Earlier this year, the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) launched a biannual survey aimed at enhancing transparency and raising global awareness of the GCC reinsurance marketplace. Laura Mellstrom discusses the survey’s findings and provides a perspective on claims trends, based on personal experience and anecdotal contributions from players in the region.

The GCC Reinsurance Barometer is based on interviews with key executives in 28 major reinsurers, brokers and buyers. The findings represent the expectations of these participants for development of the market over the next 12 to 24 months.
