The efforts of Chris and Toby, helped to raise money for the Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF), which provides life-changing education, nourishment and healing to vulnerable children from some of Cambodia’s most destitute communities.
CCF cares for more than 700 children and also provides for their families and communities in crisis. Kennedys' Hong Kong office has helped CCF to register as a charity in Hong Kong with the Inland Revenue Department.

Chris Sharrock comments, "This race was very different to the desert races we had both previously experienced with RTP. Whilst we didn't have intense heat to contend with, the course was pretty relentless in the way we were taken up and down a succession of rather large hills, day after day. We also had to make sure we were back in camp by 5.30pm each day, otherwise we would have been disqualified."
"We witnessed some spectacular scenery and were always made most welcome by the local Nepali people who turned out in force to cheer us on as we passed through their villages. It was pretty shocking to see the conditions in which most of them lived – very basic!"
"The long day (72kms) is always difficult and this event was no different. Over the first half of day five we had three big hills to climb (3,000m in all) and then it was a long flat section on rough tracks through the night to camp."
"With so many people dropping out because of illness or injury we were both delighted to finish in just about one piece. We also managed to raise about HK$90,000 (GBP£7,400) for CCF with more funds still to come in."
