About us
We are a specialist law firm with unrivalled expertise in litigation and dispute resolution
From an initial base in the City of London, we have grown a network of nine offices spanning major UK business centres in Belfast, Birmingham, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Maidstone, Manchester, Sheffield and Taunton. Our UK staff are proud to be part of Kennedys’ growing international network that is well resourced to help clients handle and resolve cases all around the world.
Our specialist lawyers are passionate about resolving disputes and claims in the most complex industry sectors including insurance/reinsurance, healthcare, construction, transport, shipping, public sector and international trade.
We are regarded as leaders in these sectors not only because we have some of the most respected legal minds in their field, but because we know it's important to be practical, commercial and approachable. We give clear legal advice:
Answers
- not just more questions
Recommendations
- not just options
Strategy and tactics
- not just a legal view in a vacuum
Clear English
- without legalese or caveats
Of course, we care about the law but we're also here to make your life easier by making the law make sense for your business. We call this:
Legal advice in black and white.

On 17 April, the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders (LASPO) Bill went back to the House of Commons. The Commons overturned all of the amendments on which it had been defeated in the House of Lords, which included exclusion of disease claims from the Jackson reforms and retention of legal aid for children in clinical negligence cases. The debate will continue and it is anticipated that it will be concluded before next Wednesday (2 May) ahead of the Queen's Speech and the new Parliamentary session.
