Kennedys' growing Financial Institutions practice has over seven partners with a particular focus in this sector. With all FI lines seeing a growth in claims activity, the team has advised insurers and reinsurers in respect of all the major financial institutions crises of the past decade, from Enron and WorldCom through to sub-prime, Lehman and Madoff.
We are instructed by the principal financial lines insurers in relation to all types of financial institutions, including international banking groups, central banks, hedge funds, stockbrokers and exchanges. Our advice has looked at the entirety of the FI product: professional indemnity, crime, computer crime and Bankers Blanket Bond. As demanded by the nature of the work, we routinely act in relation to matters in various countries around the world and, where appropriate, can call on the expertise in our network of international and associated offices.
As well as claims activity, we regularly assist underwriters in policy drafting.
